Vote NRM for Kayunga’s development- Andrew Muwonge tells voters

Friday 3rd December 2021

Voters in Kayunga have been advised to vote for the party flagbearer Andrew Muwonge in the LC5 race to ensure the development of the district.

“NRM government was given mandate for the next five and yet the construction of schools, health facilities and good roads that we desire for our district are funded by the central government. It is only prudent that you vote for an NRM leaning candidate who will work closely with government to ensure the development of the district,”Muwonge told voters.

The NRM flagbearer was speaking to voters in the villages of Nakatovu, Wabirongo, Kiremezi A and Kiremezi B in Nazigo Sub County as he conducted village to village scientific campaigns.

Muwonge who was flanked by officials from Party Secretariat and the office of the National Chairman together with other district party officials traversed villages as he made a case for voting for the NRM flagbearer.

“I studied at Nazigo RC and Yale High School. This shows that I am one of your own. I know all the challenges you have since I am a born of this area. I ask that you entrust me with your vote to ensure we reclaim Kayunga which had fallen into wrong hands,” he said.

He said that the challenges affecting the people cant be dealt with through opposing everything from the central government, and noted that it is only the NRM flagbearer who can lobby from government to benefit the people of Kayunga.

Yesterday the party launched village door to door scientific campaigns after the Electoral Commission banned rallies  in a bid to prevent the spread of Covid .

The Kayunga LC5 seat fell vacant after the death of Ffeffekka Sserubogo in June and the byelection to replace him is set for 16th December, 2021.
