Secretary General's Easter Message

Saturday 8th April 2023

Fellow Ugandans, as we celebrate Easter, I take this opportunity to extend my warmest wishes to you and your families. Easter is a time of renewal, rebirth, and hope. It is a reminder that for whatever difficult situation we face as individuals and as a country, there is always hope.

Over the past years, we have faced many challenges, but we have also made significant progress as a nation. We have continued to work towards achieving our shared goals of inclusive growth, sustainable development, and a better future for all Ugandans.

As we celebrate Easter, let us take a moment to reflect on the progress we have made and the challenges that lie ahead. Let us remember the sacrifices of our forefathers, who fought for our independence. Let us remember our heroes who fought for our liberation. In their memories, let us renew our commitment to upholding the values of Patriotism, Pan-Africanism, Socio-economic Transformation and Democracy.

This Easter season, let us embrace the spirit of unity, compassion, and forgiveness, and use it to inspire us to be our best selves and to help those in need. Let us work together towards building a more united, prosperous, and peaceful Uganda, where every Ugandan can thrive.

On behalf of the National Resistance Movement I want to wish you all a happy Easter, filled with joy, love, and peace. May it bring us all closer together as a nation. Regardless of the challenges we face, we can build a brighter future for our families, communities and country if we keep together.

Thank you, and God bless Uganda. Happy Easter Holidays

Richard Todwong (Rt. Hon.)
Secretary General
