NRM's Muwonge intensifies door to door campaigns in Kayunga  LCV race

Saturday 4th December 2021

The NRM flag bearer for the Kayunga district LCV seat, Mr Muwonge Andrew, has pledged to prioritise the development of health services in the district once voted into office.

Muwonge made the remarks today while campaigning in the villages of Seeta, Kawomya, Bukeka in Kangulumira Sub-county in Ntenjeru South Constituency. He was in the company of the Party's Director for Mobilisation, Recruitment and Cadre Development, Hon Rosemary Nansubuga Sseninde together with other Party officials.

While addressing locals at Seeta Nyivu village in Kangulumira, Muwonge pledged to prioritise the development of health facilities once voted into office.

"I was born in Kayunga and studied here. Almost all my life I have lived in Kayunga and this makes me knowledgeable about the issues affecting my people including the poor health system. This makes me the best candidate to improve service delivery by bridging the gap between the district and the Central Government," Muwonge told voters.

The youthful NRM candidate who has also served the district as a counsellor for over 10 years said he has amassed enough experience to effectively serve the people of Kayunga.

"The NRM government was given the mandate to serve the people of Uganda for the next five years and yet the construction of schools, health facilities and good roads that we desire for our district are all funded by the central government. It is only Muwonge who hails from the ruling NRM party capable of ensuring that the people of Kayunga benefit from these services."

He further urged the people to ignore all opposition propaganda targeted at tarnishing his name as it's all based on falsehoods.

In adherence to the Electoral Commission directive aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19 during elections, the NRM on Thursday this week launched the door to door campaigns in which its campaign agents approach voters at their respective residences.

Voting for the next Kayunga LC5 Seat is scheduled for 16th December.
