NRM Party Congratulates Emmanuel Omoding on Serere County By-Election Win

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has congratulated Emmanuel Omoding on his victory in the recent Serere County by-election. Omoding, an independent candidate, emerged victorious after defeating four other candidates with 15,638 votes. His closest rival, Phillip Oucor of the NRM, polled 13,206 votes.

Speaking to the media, NRM's Director for Mobilisation, Hon. Rosemary Seninde, praised the people of Serere for their participation in the election, stating that "democracy has prevailed." Seninde also congratulated Oucor for conducting a successful campaign that united and reconciled many of its supporters.

"We commend our candidate, Phillip Oucor, for putting up a spirited and disciplined fight. Thank you to our National Chairman, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, for guiding us through this election," Seninde said.

Seninde also thanked senior party leaders, including National Vice Chairman Alhaji Moses Kigongo, Secretary General Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, and fellow directors and staff for their work, despite securing the second position.

Seninde assured Omoding of the party's support in fulfilling the NRM manifesto. "We pledge to support him in supervising service delivery in Serere and promoting the socio-economic transformation of the people," Seninde added.

In response, Mr. Philip Oucor thanked the party for supporting him as their flagbearer and promised to work closely with the people of Serere to improve their quality of life.

The NRM party congratulates Emmanuel Omoding on his victory and looks forward to working with him to bring positive change to Serere County.
