Monday 11th September 2023

The National Resistance Movement has dispatched teams into villages of Hoima district to intensify mobilisation of the voters with only one day to the close of campaigns.

The NRM deputy Secretary General, Rt.Hon. Rose Namayanja in company of the Bugahya county MP, Pius Wakabi today Monday combed the villages of Bulindi town council seeking votes for the ruling party flagbearer, Uthuman Mugisha Mubaraka to secure the Hoima district Chairman Seat in the Thursday’s By-election.

Ms Namayanja interacted with residents in Kyamongi, Kakindo, Kyampaka, Kyakamese among other villages.

She said, “We have decided to come down to your villages directly to tell you about the promises of the NRM manifesto to the people of Hoima. We appeal to you to elect Mugisha because he is able to deliver these pledges.”

“I advise you to elect NRM since it is the party in government with a five-year mandate,” Namayanja said as she amplified the NRM message to the locals at different village stop overs.

The NRM ideologue reiterated a call to the locals to hugely turn up and vote, saying, “Your decision on Thursday will have an implication on the future of the Oil-rich district.”

Namayanja slammed some of Mugisha’s critics on account of his youthful age saying, “wisdom and knowledge are the main qualities of a good leader.”

“Although, fairly young but with correct ideology, the NRA bush war liberators fought and defeated the past regimes,” Namayanja remarked.

She revealed that the By-election is not a matter of Mugisha alone but a concern of the NRM Chairman and President Yoweri Museveni, his entire government and party supporters across the country, “all eyes are on you to deliver success.”

The NRM candidate, Uthuman Mugisha is confident to win, saying, “Your good reception throughout the campaigns is a signal to victory. We have been together from the beginning and I hope we end up together.”
