Elect me to implement my manifesto- NRM’s Mujungu asks Busongora voters

Saturday 13th August 2022

The Busongora South Aspirant on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party Mr.Thembo Gideon Mujungu has asked electorates to vote him back to parliament so as to complete pledges captured in his 2021- 2026 manifesto.

Mr. Mujungu made the call to voters yesterday as he traversed Burama, Mbunga and Nyakazinga parishes in Mbunga SubCounty during his second day of campaigns.

“I request that you support me go to parliament so as to complete the better plans and goals I have of transforming this county especially improving the road infrastructure in hilly sub counties to ease transportation of your goods like coffee,” Mujungu said.

Mujungu who blamed poor service delivery to the previous opposition leaders said, the difference is that his candidature is supported by President Yoweri Museveni and his government which was given the mandate and resources to serve the people.

“Like you gave ample time to past leaders, I request for enough time of five interrupted years to implement all my plans for this area,” Mujungu said.

He slammed previous leaders for deliberatly keeping the population in the plight of poverty, poor education and poor health services.

“The frustrations and poverty roaming in this area is as a result of the opposition leadership in this county for so many decades who instead of working with government to deliver, resorted to criticisms and propaganda,” the NRM ticket-holder claimed, noting that his leadership will focus on improving livelihoods by linking residents to government programs like Parish Development Model and Emyooga initiative.

Mujungu advised the populace to shun opposition lies and propaganda against government since they antagonize development and progress of their area.

Mujungu and his campaign caravan tomorrow August 12th head to Nyakabingo Sub County on a vote-hunting mission.
