Seninde camps in Pallisa ahead of Gogonyo County by-election

Wednesday 13th July 2022

In advance of next month's Gogonyo County by-elections, NRM Director Mobilisation, Cadre Identification, Recruitment and Placement Hon. Rosemary Nansubuga Sseninde has today camped in Pallisa District to meet with local party leadership and prepare for the elections.

While addressing members of the Pallisa County Executive Committee (EC) at La Quinta Safari Resort, Hon Seninde urged the party leaders to put aside their personal differences and unite for the good of the party and the people of Pallisa District.

"If we are divided as teams, we can never win. Much as we have no opposition in Pallisa, if we continue being divided, we won't win. I want to kindly beg you, let's come together as a family and win this by-election for the NRM," Seninde said."

On his part, the NRM Chairman Mr Oule George Omoding thanked Seninde for the pre-emptive efforts in fostering unity within the district with the focus of further strengthening the party’s support.

He assured Hon Seninde that as leaders of the party in the district, they are ready to deliver a peaceful free and fair NRM victory once the campaigns are officially commissioned by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

“The truth is that we have no opposition in Pallisa. Our issues are mainly within the Party. With these meetings that foster unity, I want to assure you of victory in this election,” Mr Oule said.

Hon. Sseninde is scheduled to meet different groups in the district with the aim of drawing strategies for a clear work plan on how the party can reclaim its victory.
