Oucor has a special touch with the ordinary people- Seninde

Monday 13th February 2023

The Director of Mobilisation for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party, Hon. Rosemary Nansubuga Seninde is confident that their party candidate, Mr. Oucor Philip, is the most preferred aspirant as Serere parliamentary campaigns begin.

Seninde made the revelation while campaigning for Mr. Oucor in Kamurojo, Kakuja, Abuket parishes, and Omurio trading center in Kyere sub-county all-in Serere district.

“Oucor clearly understands the plight of the ordinary people, having worked within the community for many years. I do not doubt that once Oucor is elected into an influential and powerful position like the legislature, the people of Serere will be served well,” Seninde said as she wooed NRM supporters.

She added, “As you voted him in the NRM primaries, I urge you to overwhelming turn up in masses on the voting day to affirm your will and support.”

She emphatically restated that the ruling party has only one candidate in the race who is, Mr. Philip Oucor, as she dismissed allegations that link some NRM leaders to other rival camps.

“The NRM party has a constitution and clear rules and regulations which are binding to all party members and leaders. Therefore, bleach of set rules is detrimental,” Seninde stated.

Mr. Philip Oucor said, “Our message to the people of Serere as the NRM is about prosperity and uplifting them. We are selling the ruling party manifesto. All we are seeking is people’s mandate to go and lobby for services and resources to transform their lives.

“The solidarity so far shown to our camp is inspiring. It gives us hope and confidence as we hunt for votes from the population.”

“Development and wealth creation among families is key among my plans for the people of Serere County. They must dine with fellow Ugandans on the national cake,” the NRM aspirant said.

In close cooperation with the government, Oucor said, they aim to empower people through sensitization, and mindset change to benefit from available poverty alleviation programs like the Parish Development Model and Emyooga.

“Once families begin to generate relative incomes, they will be able to cater for basic needs to sustain their lives,” Oucor said.

Mr. Samuel Eyenga, the NRM Senior Manager for Mobilization said, since the people of Serere voted for President Museveni in the General elections, it is prudent to elect an NRM legislator for effective service delivery.

President Yoweri Museveni who is also the NRM National Chairman is expected to be in Serere district next week on Tuesday 21st to campaign for the Mr. Oucor

Tomorrow Tuesday 14th, the NRM candidate together with his team will traverse the parishes of Central ward, Orupe, Ompe, and Buriekori in Ocaapa Town Council.
