NRM hosts leadership capacity programme

The NRM Directoriate of Special Organs in the leadership of  Major (Rtd) Okwir Rabwoni hosts a two day training for student leaders from Kampala universities in collaboration with International Republican Institute under the auspice of the NRM-Secretary General Rt Hon Richard Todwong at Arch hotel in Kampala . 

The training was officiated by Major (rtd) Rwaboni in purpose to orient the student leaders on how to strategize and workout the politics of Uganda and also equip them with adequate ideologies to enable them build their political careers.

Hon.Okot Boniface, the Youth MP for Northern region was the chief guest of the training. 
On NRM youth agenda, Hon. Okot encouraged the youth to fight against the injustice against the youth and also proud solutions and alternative proposals.

“It’s our responsibility as young people to bring up ideas that help the youth and propose them to party leaderships and help in implementation.” Okot encouraged the students leaders.

Hon.Okot emphasized that the NRM party recognizes the presence of student leaders as key stalkers in the party.

Mr. Stephen Hippo, an NRM cadre helped the students leaders to understand the history of the progressive NRM, it’s ideologies and the organizational work in the mass movement. 


Duncan Abigaba, the deputy director of GCIC-State House talked to the leaders on how the youth should leverage the media to promote democracy. He also encouraged the leaders to avoid fake news but use the media to advertise the government and government programs that will build them.
