The NRM Deputy Secretary General, Rt.Hon. Rose Namayanja has urged the local leadership of the party to participate in the implementation of government programs that aimed at wealth creation and better service delivery for the ordinary people like Emyooga and the parish development model.

Namayanja said yesterday Monday as she launched ‘The NRM Chairpersons Development Association’ of greater Masaka districts, a forum through which they can share experiences on socio-economic transformation and leadership.

“Government is implementing our manifesto and so we should actively participant in monitoring to ensure that services are delivered well,” Namayanja said.

According to Namayanja, the PDM rules include NRM Parish Chairpersons as ex-official members of the steering Committee to ensure direct participation in decision making.

Hon. Namayanja used the occasion to encourage the chairpersons to mobilise party members to actively participate in the recently released NRM Roadmap. “Once primary elections are concluded, they will be demanded to support flag bearers and rally all NRM supporters in their respective sub counties to support the party candidate.

The Deputy Secretary General commended the chairpersons for cohesion and promoting unity within the party through the SACCO. “This is a good initiative and I encourage all leaders and mobilisers to promote a common voice.”
