Re: Condolence Message.

The National Resistance Movement fraternity has learnt with great sadness, the untimely death of Ambassador Dr. HASSAN WASSWA GALIWANGO, which occurred this morning, Monday 16th January, 2023; at Nairobi Hospital in the Republic of Kenya, where he has been receiving specialized medical attention.

At the time of his untimely demise, Ambassador Dr. HASSAN WASSWA GALIWANGO has been serving as Uganda High Commissioner to the Republics of Kenya, Seychelles and also as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations Environment Programme and the UN HABITAT, based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Prior to his appointment as High Commissioner on 16th June, 2021, Ambassador Dr. HASSAN WASSWA GALIWANGO served for 11 years as the Director of Finance and Administration at the National Resistance Movement Secretariat and also as District Administrator in the office of the President.

He has been a dedicated Patriot, a seasoned Administrator, a budding entrepreneur; a sports philanthropist and promoter; a distinguished diplomat and above all, a loyal cadre of the National Resistance Movement. Much of his adult life was spent in the public service of Uganda, which contribution will be greatly missed now that he is no more.

At this sad moment of bereavement, my thoughts and that of the party fraternity, are with the immediate family members, friends and all those whose lives and livelihood were touched by the selfless generosity of Ambassador Dr. HASSAN WASSWA GALIWANGO.

The National Resistance Movement stands in solidarity with you at this time of your loss, in recognition of his selfless service rendered to the party and country. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.

May Allah, the Most Merciful and Most Gracious, rest the Soul of Ambassador Dr. HASSAN WASSWA GALIWANGO in Eternity.
