He also called upon the party leaders on ground to assist the government in fighting corruption and misuse of money meant to improve people’s lives.

"It is the responsibility of you and me to ensure that money disbursed for service delivery is well utilized because any mismanagement discredits the party which we all cherish and serve as leaders," Dombo said.

Hon. Dombo also apologized to the party leaders for anything which does not go well like illegal land evictions but assured them that the president has issued new orders meant to prevent the act. The court orders of evicting people will now be supervised by Resident District Commissioners to ensure that due processes are made.

“We are meeting our grass root leaders among other things to apologize to them in case there is something we have not done right. Secondly is to hear what their problems are,” head of NRM publicity said.

Hajjat Medina Naham the party director of Finance and Administration said the party will not sympathize with any of its members if they are caught doing wrong.

“Some of the party members think that they are untouchables but if you are found to be wrong or misusing the party resources, you will be handled in accordance with the party constitution and that of the country,” Naham said.

Justine Mbabazi the Wakiso Resident District Commissioner (RDC) also asked local leaders to stop interfering with their work and investigations.

“Please leaders stop interfering with some of our work. The President gave us a directive to create a community security committee but some of you leaders are interfering with the president’s work,” Mbabazi said.

She said that there have been some cases they have been working on but some local leaders have interfered with them because they have been given a bribe. “If you ever interfere with our work, you will face it rough,” Mbabazi said.

She noted that land grabbing in Wakiso is at its highest peak adding that what is really worrying is that some of the leaders are spearheading the land grabbing in the district.

She said that there is no opposition within the Wakiso but it’s within the NRM party adding that it is now the NRM party members that are fighting themselves but it’s not the opposition that is fighting them.

Vincent Kizito the NRM chairperson for Kajjansi town council assured the NRM party chairman Yoweri Kaguta Museveni full support of the coming general however they asked him to fulfill the pledges that he made to them as he was campaigning for the 2021 general elections.

“There are some roads that the president had promised that they will be worked on but since the end of the general elections, the road hasn’t been constructed and we have now remained speechless among our voters and the residents,” Kizito said adding that even in the 62 cells, there is only one seed school.

Kizito appreciated the work done by the government in some health centres adding that they are still faced with the challenge of land grabbers that usually threaten to steal the hospital land.
