The Deputy Secretary-General of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) Hon. Rose Nsereko Namayanja has urged parents to secure the future and success of their children by taking them to school to attain formal education.

Namayanja who was speaking to a congregation of Buwenge Seventh-day Adventist church in Jinja district during a fundraising ceremony advised parents to endeavour to pay school fees and support their children to attain the best education.

“Do your part as a parent to support your children to school because you don’t know what your child will be in future. The only reward you can give your children is good education. Also, teach them to love God,” the NRM ideologue said.

She said there is a possibility of the educated children to become whatever they want to become fulfilling hence fulfilling biblical verses that say; young people are the leaders of tomorrow.

Hon. Namayanja challenged parents to resist the temptation of prioritizing the boy child unlike their female counterparts, saying the girls can equally perform well like the boy child.

“Educate the girl child, let them have equal opportunities with those of the boys. This will help to contain the increasing early pregnancies and early marriages,” she revealed to the faithful.

The second in command at the NRM secretariat called up believers to always
give back to God through tithe and offering to support
church work and the develop their communities.

“As believers, it is our responsibility to support our clergy and the work of God through paying our tithe and offering. That is the only way we shall obtain God's blessings,” Namayanja said.
