The NRM camp has intensified campaigns in its quest to reclaim Kikuube LC5 seat.
The team from the NRM Secretariat together with the district leadership accompanied the flagbearer Paddy Kisembo today in rallying party leaders and voters in Bugambe subcounty, Kizirampanga and Buhimba Town Councils to embrace grass root mobilization so as to meet as many people as possible in the remaining time.
Hon. Jane Alisemera, Commissioner of the NRM Electoral Commission said the government is waiting to receive and work with Kisembo to transform the people of Kikuube, as she urged residents to elect him.
"Kisembo has a wealth of experience in the field of agriculture, education and transport. He is ready to team up with the government and lobby other partners to ensure good service delivery,' Alisemera said.
Hon. Alisemera cautioned the party leaders and supporters to be very vigilant as they mobilise for support in villages.
“Kikuube has already registered an ebola case and the contacts are all in isolation. I urge you to avoid body contacts in order to contain the spread into the communities. Always wash your hands, sanitize and report any related signs to keep safe,” Alisemera said.
Mr Paddy Kisembo committed to ensure due diligence in the implementation of government projects if elected Chairman, saying, “Projects like the construction of roads, Health Centres and schools require scrutiny because they are done using public resources.”
Kisembo said that his administration will expedite access to Parish development model and Emyooga funds to boost the household incomes of the people.
The NRM’s Senior Manager of Moblisation, Mr. Sam Eyenga reiterated a call to party supporters to unite behind the flag bearer.
“I am confident that we shall win because Kikuube is purely NRM. In the previous election in January, President Museveni scored 97% and all the flag bearers on other positions won highly,” Eyenga said affirming that the NRM government headed by President Museveni is already to embrace Kisembo to deliver on its commitments and pledges that were made in campaigns.
He implored the voters to keep the promise of entrusting leadership with NRM from presidency, MPs to the district chairman to council levels.
