We are stronger together- Seninde rallies Makindye leaders

The Director of Mobilisation at the NRM Secretariat, Hon. Rosemary Seninde has called upon leaders in Makindye to drop individual differences and build a strong party. She was in the Division to mobilise party leaders and also find out the progress of government programs.

"Our mission is to win but it is impossible with a divided party like it is in some areas in Kampala. The differences we had in the last elections are all behind us. Let us chart a new path of unity,” Seninde said as she spoke to Makindye division leaders at St.Paul Primary School, Nsambya.

She added, “The party and country are bigger than individuals. We need to tone down and reach a consensus on how to move Uganda forward.”

While commenting on the implementation of government programs, Mrs Seninde asked party leaders to assist the president in fighting corruption and misuse of government resources by some rogue public servants.

“The funds meant to empower you and me into the production end up in the pockets of a few officials. We can no longer look on as government programs are being frustrated,” Hon. Seninde said,” noting, “The blame games should end because the people to monitor and follow up on these monies are you and me.”

Director Seninde also emphasized that mobilisation for support will go along with demanding accountability from public officials to ensure effective service delivery, “The voters make right choices when they are in better conditions.”

“We cannot seek a political mandate from a hungry person. It is the reason we are making these community outreaches to assess the impact of poverty alleviation initiatives being implemented on the ground before campaigns return,” Seninde said. 

Seninde said that President Museveni is a good leader who is always ready to guide and advise, “So, let us utilize him. Let us follow his guidance to ensure his vision of securing the future of Ugandans and transforming the lives of all is attained.”

Hon.Seninde told leaders to down to the wards to sensitise the ordinary people on the parish development model and Emyooga. “Seek for relevant information surrounding these projects and pass it on to intended beneficiaries.”

As a chief mobiliser, Seninde committed to making time and keeping in touch with the population until the lives of the people change for the better. “If Ugandans adhere to the advice of the NRM leadership, all Ugandans will join the money income,” Seninde said.

“Our message is one and coherent. Mass mobilisation is only sustainable through social economic empowerment. It is the reason we have enjoyed support for many years now,” Seninde remarked.

The NRM vice Chairman for Kampala region, Hon.Singh Katongole called upon the people of Kampala to support President Museveni, saying he is the torch-bearer for the country. "We should not be misled. The president has gotten this country from far and he still bears a vision of improving people's lives." 

The leaders praised the initiative of reaching out to structures on the ground. It is good that you recognize our input. “We shall continue to mobilise for the party and our president,” the leaders said.
